Micaela Tucker, Esq., General Counsel

Micaela’s years of organizational leadership and experience in law allow her to approach client matters at Athena Advocacy with confidence and to navigate the judicial process with agility, ensuring client matters are handled with expert care.


EXPERIENCE

A graduate of Vermont Law School, cum laude and an Albert Schweitzer Fellow, she earned her undergraduate degree with honors from Rice University. She serves on the Board of Directors of Upper Valley Services and is a member of the Vermont Bar Association. 

Micaela clerked at the Vermont Supreme Court and worked as an Assistant Attorney General of the State of Vermont, handling a diverse caseload. This was followed by several years in health policy and private practice. Prior to becoming an attorney, she was appointed chairperson at the Federal Communications Commission Sub-committee on Disability Access and was the executive director of Breakthough Houston, an urban educational rights and access organization.
